The document "DUEPROLOGIC_USB_FPGA_PROJECT_4.0_DVD/Documentation/DPL_FPGA_DEV_SYS_UM.pdf" references "EPT-Blaster v1.6b".
Where can that version (or higher) be downloaded?
The version included in the "DUEPROLOGIC_USB_FPGA_PROJECT_4.0_DVD" download, does not make the programmer hardware appear at all for me in Quartus.
The version available at /projects/drivers on this site does allow the programmer hardware to appear for me in Quartus, but it says that Active Serial Programming is not supported and it shows as v1.3b instead of the v1.6b that shows in the documentation.
Jason, Did you ever get an answer? I'm having the same problem, did you solve this?
Thanks
Mark
@f18chief no, I gave up. I was not able to get any support here or via email. I moved on to other projects and I'm considering this a paper weight for now.
Same here. I have a working UnoPro (uses JTAG) but I can't get this DuePro to connect. I don't think there's anyone home there, I see almost no responses to any posts on the forum. You'd think there would people like us out there that have answers !!!! I was going to use these for a digital class I teach but there's no way I would subject my students to this. Good luck
Jason, I just got this from Admin. I bought my DuePro in 2019. Apparently that makes a difference! The disk I got with the board didn't work. There are some things that don't seem to work correctly with the demo, but I can communicate with the board. Good luck.
Hello, we are in the process of updating all documentation regarding the programming *.dll. All EPT FPGA, CPLD and programmer boards are now using the same revision of JTAG Blaster *.dll.
EPT-JTAG-Blaster v1.0 (64)[MBUSB-0]
Please see the attached doc that explains how to set up and program FPGA and CPLD boards.
If your unit was purchased prior to 2022, please let us know. We will arrange to update you with the latest hardware and drivers.
Sorry for all the confusion. But, going forward from 2022, all users will be using the same drivers. All the hardware programming has been standardized across the boards. So, support will be easier.
"EPT-Blaster v1.6b" does not appear to be a widely recognized term or software in my knowledge base. Without further context or information, it is challenging to provide a specific explanation or understanding of what it refers to. It might be helpful to provide more details or clarify the context in which it is being used.
The "EPT-Blaster v1.6b" is the ID of the dll that is used to allow the Altera JTAG server to communicate with the Hardware: JTAG Blaster. The name of the dll is:
jtag_hw_mbftdi_blaster64.dll
This dll is similar to the Intel/FPGA version that allows the Altera JTAG server to communicate with the USB Blaster Hardware from Intel/FPGA. Its name is:
jtag_hw_usb-blaster.dll
Both of these dll's must be included in the folder:
$/quartus/bin64
That being said, the dll with the ID "EPT-Blaster v1.6b" has been deprecated. The dll that should be used with all Earth People Technology hardware from 2021 and later is:
"EPT-Blaster v1.0b"
We are aware that the version number is causing a lot of confusion amongst users. In the coming weeks EPT will recompile and test the dll with a version number set to v2.0. We apologize for the confusion with the version numbers and we will get this cleared up in future releases.
Giving a precise explanation or understanding of what it relates to is difficult. It could be beneficial to offer extra information or make the usage context clear.
