When following the instructions, I attempt to install the driver from either the CD or the downloaded CD by running CDM21228.exe. Runs OK. When I run Device Manager I see warnings for both EPT USB <->Serial&JTAG Cable B. I try to update the driver and I get an error Serial USB Cable B the hash for the file is not present ... How do I fix this?

Oh, and I don't see the device when I run EPT Data Transfer app.

Make sure that the driver file you have downloaded or obtained from the CD is complete and hasn't been corrupted during the download process.

Sometimes, security software like antivirus or firewall programs can interfere with driver installations. Temporarily disable any such software and attempt to install the driver again.

You just simply visit the official website of the device manufacturer or the official support page. Then, download the latest driver for your device, ensuring it's compatible with your operating system.

First, try redownloading the driver from the original source. Make sure you use official drivers from the device's manufacturer or supplier. If you downloaded the driver from their website, try downloading it again or check if a newer version of the driver is available.

If the driver file has a digital signature, verify its integrity. You can right-click the file, select Properties, and then go to the Digital Signatures tab to check the digital signature.

It seems like there is an issue with the driver installation for EPT USB <->Serial&JTAG Cable B. The error message "the hash for the file is not present" usually means that the driver file has been tampered with or corrupted. You may need to download and install a new driver file from the manufacturer's website.
